The Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) is the public service department of New Zealand. Their job  with overseeing , managing and regulating the farming, fishing, food, animal welfare, biosecurity, and forestry sectors of New Zealand's primary industries. MPI is helping maximise export opportunities for our primary industries and  ensure the food we produce is safe, increase sustainable resource use, and protect New Zealand from biological risks.
